Terms of use

Effective October 25, 2026. These terms apply to GovBot Public Lands & Wildfire Perimeters at lands.govbot.ai, operated by Ideation Lab, Corp.

Permitted use

Use this read-only service for public-record research. No sign-in or purchase is required. Respect rate limits and the published terms of the agency services. Do not attempt to bypass access controls, disrupt the service or submit confidential information.

Source qualifications

Preserve the stated agency, service, layer, data-edit date, perimeter date and retrieval time when reusing results. Surface management and protected-area boundaries are compiled agency map data at map scale. PAD-US records overlap and an absent record is not evidence that land is unprotected. Fire perimeters are provisional operational data; the current-perimeter service holds incidents not yet declared contained, controlled or out and drops incidents without recent updates.

Limits of the service

Results are not legal surveys, title, ownership or boundary determinations, and they do not establish access rights. The service is not an evacuation, warning or emergency information source and makes no safety determination; follow instructions from local officials and call 911 in an emergency. The service does not provide legal advice. Records are provided as available without a guarantee of completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular decision. GovBot is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Geological Survey, the National Interagency Fire Center or any government agency. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
